Senior RF/Microwave Engineer

Salary: $107,323–$188,741 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly company bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and perform RF and microwave component and circuit design activities from customer requirements through production release.
• Develop simulations, nominal performance estimates, tolerance analyses, test circuits, and design verification plans.
• Correlate expected performance with test results, perform data reduction, and present findings in internal and customer design reviews.
• Assess manufacturing processes, design trade-offs, cost, performance, and technology limitations before design release.
• Lead engineers, interns, test engineers, and technicians on program tasks, including test procedures, test stations, and data-reduction software.
• Mentor engineering staff, create training materials, and collaborate directly with customers and other engineering disciplines.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in RF/microwave component or subsystem design and testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on electromagnetic fields; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Practical microwave design experience from 1 to 40 GHz and strong understanding of microwave theory and system performance.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, HFSS, and circuit simulation tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, time-management, and customer-interaction skills.
• Must have a background that would permit the US Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when required. Access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.

• Military and/or space industry experience.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
