Associate Director, Search-Paid (AI): Leading paid search strategy and performance across a portfolio of high-profile clients with an accent on Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, SA360, AI capabilities, and integrated media planning. Focus on setting search direction, solving strategic performance challenges, developing teams, and scaling automation and platform innovation.
Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; hybrid working with teams in the office around four days a week. This is a UK-based role and requires the right to work in the United Kingdom.

What you will do
- Own the strategic direction and performance of paid search across a large, high-spend client portfolio.
- Set search ambitions with senior client stakeholders and integrate search into broader media strategies.
- Identify strategic risks, opportunities, growth pathways, and solutions to complex search performance issues.
- Represent the agency with Google and Microsoft partners through business plans, beta programmes, and capability initiatives.
- Lead and develop a search team, including coaching, recruitment, succession planning, and capability development.
- Drive operational governance, process excellence, automation, AI-tool adoption, commercial planning, and service evolution.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and SA360.
- Significant experience leading complex search clients across multi-market, high-profile, or growth accounts.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional work with Media, Planning, Data, Analytics, and Creative.
- Strong experience developing and managing people.
- Understanding of how AI, automation, and audience signals are evolving performance marketing.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom is required.
