Artificial Intelligence Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: London Area, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

Company

A leading global financial services group is building a new AI team to bring Generative AI into practical use across the business.

What you will do

• Build LLM applications that search, summarise, and interpret large volumes of documents.
• Develop retrieval pipelines using embeddings and vector search.
• Create agent-based workflows and prompt systems with Anthropic and OpenAI models.
• Deploy Python services on Google Cloud, primarily using Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Cloud Run.
• Implement evaluation, monitoring, and cost tracking for live AI systems.
• Build controls for responsible handling of customer data in a regulated environment.

Requirements

• Experience building Generative AI applications in production.
• Strong Python, Google Cloud Platform, and production GenAI experience.
• Experience with LLM applications, retrieval pipelines, embeddings, vector search, or agent-based workflows.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in the London Area, United Kingdom.
