Senior Java Backend Developer (Telecom): Building and extending backend services, TM Forum APIs, and network-related data models for the COM5.Mobile telecom network management platform with an accent on Java 21, Quarkus, microservices, and OSS data. Focus on designing resource inventory and service catalog integrations, solving complex network slicing and discrepancy-detection challenges, and maintaining reliable services across PostgreSQL and Oracle.
Location: Ukraine; remote work location type.

What you will do
- Design and implement backend services for telecom network management solutions.
- Develop and extend TM Forum-compliant APIs, including TMF-633 and TMF-639.
- Expose resource inventory and service catalog capabilities to external systems.
- Work with complex OSS and network data models covering slicing, network resources, and configuration data.
- Build and integrate Java 21 and Quarkus microservices with PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Support audit and optimization use cases, including slicing audits and discrepancy detection, while maintaining code quality through testing and CI pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Java backend development experience.
- Strong experience with REST APIs, service-oriented architectures, SQL, and relational databases.
- Experience with modern Java frameworks such as Quarkus or Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and code quality tools.
- Experience working in existing product codebases rather than only greenfield projects.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Telecommunications or network management experience.
- Experience with TM Forum APIs and OSS/BSS systems.
- Knowledge of 3GPP and 5G network concepts, including slicing, NRM, and gNBs.
- Experience with network or radio-related data models.
- Kubernetes and cloud-native experience beyond basic usage.
