Senior Java Developer

What you will do

• Develop and maintain components for a complex tax administration system covering declarations, tax calculations, assessments, and external integrations.
• Implement software components according to design specifications and participate in system integration.
• Perform unit testing, system testing, troubleshooting, and incident triage.
• Estimate project efforts and delivery timelines while collaborating with stakeholders and distributed teams.
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps and support predictable project delivery.
• Support and optimize CI/CD processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database, REST/SOAP integrations, and messaging systems such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
• Good understanding of software testing principles.
• Confident English communication skills required. Strong communication and collaboration skills are needed for working with stakeholders and distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Angular frontend development experience.
• German or Swiss German language skills.
