Field Service Engineer (MR-Linac)

Location: Home-based in Stockholm, with a preference for candidates based in southern Sweden; frequent travel throughout the Nordic region and occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Install, commission, upgrade, and maintain radiotherapy systems, with a focus on MR-Linac solutions.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at customer sites across the Nordic region.
• Diagnose and repair complex electronic, mechanical, networking, and software issues down to board and component level.
• Provide on-site visits, remote technical assistance, customer support, and occasional weekend service for business-critical needs.
• Manage service activities independently, document work accurately, and escalate complex technical issues when required.
• Support continuous improvement, service upgrades, technical training, and customer relationship development.

Requirements

• Degree, HNC, technical diploma, or equivalent qualification in electronics, electrical, mechanical, medical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in field service, technical support, installation, or maintenance engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across complex electro-mechanical systems, including electronics, networking, PCs, servers, and Windows environments.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple service activities, and solve problems under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, a valid driving license, and willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time.
• Customer-focused, collaborative, proactive, and safety-oriented approach to work.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of high- and low-voltage systems, vacuum systems, RF technology, diagnostic equipment, or other advanced engineering disciplines.
• Knowledge of a Nordic language.
