Senior Software Engineer (Python/PHP)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain reliable code for complex client/server enterprise applications.
• Translate storyboards and use cases into functional applications and collaborate on feature design and product direction.
• Work with Quality Assurance on test cases, documentation, peer review, and development estimates.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex code-related issues with Engineering, Technical Support, and customers.
• Build, package, sign, and release appliance images and software updates for on-premises and cloud deployments.
• Deploy and maintain customer cloud infrastructure, including compute, DNS, storage, and key management.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software development experience and proficiency across the full Software Development Lifecycle.
• Strong experience with Unix/Linux environments, Python, PHP, Laravel or a comparable MVC framework, and large legacy codebases.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, Route 53, S3, IAM, and KMS.
• Experience with database design and administration, unit testing, Agile methodologies, and continuous integration.
• Understanding of modern design patterns, network security, encryption, and secure software releases.
• Solid written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with secure coding, TLS, cryptography, Terraform, or AWS Lambda.
• Knowledge of X.509 certificates, SAML, and OAuth2.
• Experience developing applications at scale or debugging the Linux kernel.
