BP Hardware Field Application Specialist (Bioprocess Downstream): Providing pre- and post-sales technical support for downstream chromatography and filtration hardware across Korean biopharmaceutical customers with an accent on troubleshooting, customer training, and process optimization. Focus on supporting ÄKTA systems, columns, TFF skids, UNICORN workflows, technical proposals, and complex on-site application cases.
Location: Remote from South Korea, covering customers across Korea; regular on-site customer support and travel are required

What you will do
- Deliver on-site application support and hands-on services for downstream chromatography and filtration hardware.
- Provide technical troubleshooting for method development, UNICORN operation, performance testing, hardware, and process issues.
- Plan and conduct customer training, product demonstrations, seminars, and exhibition activities.
- Support pre-sales and design-in work by reviewing URS and specifications, preparing technical proposals, and developing implementation specifications.
- Optimize products and workflows through process simulations, mini-applications, and Voice-of-Customer feedback.
- Coordinate with global product, R&D, and service teams to resolve complex technical cases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biotechnology, Biochemical or Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Multiple years of hands-on experience in bioprocess downstream operations, including chromatography or filtration and process-scale hardware such as ÄKTA systems, packing columns, or TFF skids.
- Experience in customer-facing technical support, application consulting, equipment demonstrations, or field service in a bioprocessing, life-science instrumentation, or GMP-regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of downstream workflows and automation or software such as UNICORN, with the ability to troubleshoot independently on-site.
- Fluent written and verbal English and Korean are required.
- Must be able to work in South Korea, travel to customer sites, travel abroad when needed, hold a valid local driver’s license, and meet Korean work-permit requirements if applicable. Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 20 kg is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with process intensification technologies such as PCC, Inline Conditioning, and single-use systems.
- Experience with sterile filtration integrity testing, including PUPSIT or DPFS.
- Direct experience with Korean biopharma customers, CDMOs, biosimilar, vaccine, or plasma operations.
- Experience supporting large-scale CAPEX or new-facility projects.
- Master’s degree or research and development experience.
