Cyber Instructor (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid in Columbia, Maryland, United States, with an average of 1–2 days per week in the local office; on-site customer work and up to 30% CONUS/OCONUS travel required.

Salary: $95,399–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Define customer learning requirements and objectives for complex technical concepts and scenario-based training.
• Develop training materials including web-based courses, videos, presentations, instructor and participant guides, knowledge checks, practical exercises, labs, and use cases.
• Deliver advanced courses covering cyber hunt, log analysis, intrusion investigation, software operations, and platform architecture.
• Maintain and update curricula, incorporating current development processes, publications, threats, vulnerabilities, and industry practices.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, operational units, trainers, and instructional designers to improve training effectiveness and adoption.
• Mentor internal teams on technical skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance are required.
• Six years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, four years with a master’s degree, or ten years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience delivering technical training in classrooms or small groups and developing training curricula.
• Experience in cyber operations and analysis, including IDS, IPS, and SIEM tools.
• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, provide on-site customer support, and travel up to 30% CONUS and OCONUS.

Nice to have

• Experience in Defensive Cyber Operations, Network Operations, and Intelligence Operations.
• Experience creating web-based training content with Markdown or HTML.
• Experience maintaining Learning Management System libraries and content.
• Prior government or military experience with organizations such as MARFORCYBER, DCSA, DISA, Army Cyber, U.S. Cyber Command, or related cyber commands.
