Lead Software Engineer, Gen AI

Location: Office-based role in Chicago, Peoria, Broomfield, or Irving, United States. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $128,470–$208,770 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy generative AI assistants, agents, tooling, and software using Python and object-oriented programming.
• Build FastAPI services and deploy solutions on AWS using CloudFormation.
• Work with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Crew.ai, large language models, and prompt engineering.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Refactor analytics solutions for production with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
• Assist with machine learning and AI pipelines using Apache Airflow.

Requirements

• Experience developing software applications in Python and/or Go, with strong knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle, product design and architecture, technical integration, and software testing.
• Experience with Git version control and deployment through GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Experience with AWS components such as SageMaker Studio, Lambda, API Gateway, and RDS.
• Ability to lead larger and more complex projects and communicate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work from one of the listed United States offices; visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available.
