Location: TRC IT HUB, Torreón, El Fresno, Coahuila, Mexico

What you will do
- Provide advanced operational support for GCP data platform services, including BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Firestore, Dataflow, and Cloud Run.
- Design, implement, and operate enterprise data security controls, including row-level and column-level access restrictions, metadata management, and data classification policies.
- Diagnose complex production issues involving security, service accounts, data transformation, query execution, and platform stability.
- Harden GCP workloads by remediating vulnerabilities, secret exposure incidents, Prisma Cloud alerts, dependency findings, and container image risks.
- Monitor platform performance, govern BigQuery slot usage, optimize costs, and manage incidents, changes, access provisioning, and ServiceNow approvals.
- Lead platform improvements, documentation, knowledge transfer, and mentoring for junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in GCP data platform engineering, cloud security, and application or platform operations support.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience; Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Firestore, Dataflow, and Cloud Run.
- Experience with data security architecture, row-level and column-level security, vulnerability management, Prisma Cloud, container scanning, IAM governance, and least-privilege remediation.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Go, or relevant scripting languages, together with strong troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work at the TRC IT HUB in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico.
Nice to have
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification or another relevant IT certification.
