Quality Technician

Location: Orion, Michigan, United States; onsite, full-time position.

What you will do

• Perform hourly in-process audits of manufacturing, assembly, repair, and rework operations.
• Verify product conformance with management system procedures, work instructions, and applicable control plans.
• Maintain complete documentation for audits, inspections, and quality activities.
• Identify and isolate nonconforming output.
• Work with manufacturing personnel to identify causes and implement corrective measures.
• Communicate quality information to technicians on other shifts and complete additional assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and communicate effectively with employees and customers.
• Ability to calculate percentages and averages, read a tape measure, and apply basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and resolve problems in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand, walk, handle tools or controls, and occasionally lift or move more than 50 pounds.
