RF Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California; full-time, on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027.

Salary: $28.00 USD per hour

What you will do

• Support the RF Products Team with testing and productionization of transceivers and RF products.
• Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real hardware and production challenges.
• Work with mentors and department employees to develop technical and professional skills.
• Provide progress updates through regular one-on-one meetings with mentors and supervisors.
• Collaborate with a fast-paced, high-performing team focused on expanding radio capabilities and mass production.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or mathematics.
• Must have at least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• At least three months of applied engineering experience through an internship, laboratory work, or personal/team projects.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2027.
• For U.S. office work, must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, lawfully admitted refugee or asylee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. export-control authorizations.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 or above.
• At least six months of applied engineering experience.
• Knowledge of RF and electronic components, including capacitors, inductors, microwaves, and transformers.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with MATLAB, ANSYS, and Python.
