Feature Lighting Intern (Animation)

Location: Glendale, California, USA. The role is designated as hybrid, requiring work from the office at least three days per week and later at least four days per week, while the job description also specifies in-person work. What you will do

• Work with the CG Supervisor and Lead Lighter to achieve visual targets and address lighting notes.
• Take assigned shots to completion and manage the shot load against production schedules.
• Troubleshoot creative and technical issues and report shot problems to the CG Supervisor.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate elements into assigned shots.
• Organize and document lighting tools, scripts, and processes as needed.
• Attend dailies, lighting launches, team meetings, and participate in testing new technologies.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree, or a recent graduate within six months of graduation.
• Passion for working in a lighting team in feature animation and willingness to learn the lighting pipeline.
• Curiosity, teamwork, and ability to work effectively with others.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be willing to work in Glendale, California and be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must provide personal relocation, housing, and transportation.

Nice to have

• Understanding of lighting workflows, rendering, compositing, and the tools used by lighting artists.
