Director, Investment Accounting

hirify.global operates a multi-billion-dollar investment portfolio requiring investment accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance oversight.

What you will do

• Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across investment asset classes.
• Oversee accounting operations, portfolio reporting, management reporting, and regulatory disclosures.
• Review investment transactions for appropriate accounting treatment under US GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex accounting, forecasting, and reporting challenges.
• Lead process-improvement initiatives and special projects.
• Manage staff, including hiring, performance and salary reviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of related experience required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, Statutory Accounting Principles, investment strategy, and investment accounting practices.
• Experience with financial reporting, investment accounting software, Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project-management, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to direct staff and lead department objectives.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or MBA.
• Certified Public Accountant certification.
