Software Engineer – 3D Treatment Planning (Production Support)

Location: Heredia, Costa Rica; hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week at the hirify.global site. Travel may include up to 25% international. Relocation assistance is not authorized.

What you will do

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and fix production issues, including identifying root causes and preventing recurrence.
• Develop C#/.NET enhancements and workflow automation for an internal 3D treatment planning platform.
• Work with 3D data, including meshes, coordinate systems, vectors, matrices, and transformations.
• Collaborate with end users, treatment planning specialists, product, quality, and DevOps teams to prioritize fixes and improvements.
• Improve application monitoring, logging, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma and a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of software development experience with advanced C#/.NET skills.
• Hands-on experience with 3D fundamentals such as vectors, matrices, transformations, coordinate systems, and 3D meshes, or experience supporting software in dental, CAD, or medical imaging domains.
• Experience troubleshooting production systems and working with SQL or relational databases.
• Conversational English at B2+ level required.

Nice to have

• Experience with WPF, Azure, or Web APIs.
• Mesh processing libraries, geometry algorithms, DevOps, CI/CD, or monitoring tools.
• Experience in regulated environments such as medical devices, ISO 13485, or FDA-regulated settings.
• Experience using AI tools in development or knowledge of dental workflows such as aligners, CAD/CAM, and treatment design.
• Experience troubleshooting and monitoring cloud-deployed applications and databases, including Azure or Kubernetes.
