Senior Backend / Python Developer

Location: On-site in Malmö, Göteborg, or Stockholm, Sweden

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain production-grade Python backend services and APIs.
• Build scalable data-intensive services for data ingestion, processing, transformation, and serving.
• Own backend components throughout their lifecycle and contribute to architecture, technical standards, and modernization initiatives.
• Develop data pipelines and services supporting AI/ML training, evaluation, inference, and model productionization.
• Improve performance, reliability, observability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency across existing systems.
• Mentor developers, contribute to code and architecture reviews, and collaborate with product, consultancy, data, AI, infrastructure, and client teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional Python software development experience, with substantial backend focus.
• Strong knowledge of Python, software architecture, object-oriented programming, design patterns, clean code, and backend engineering practices.
• Experience designing production-grade backend services and APIs, data-intensive applications, data processing solutions, or data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience, preferably with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with automated testing, version control, code reviews, CI/CD, and production troubleshooting.
• Professional working proficiency in English and availability for on-site work in Malmö, Göteborg, or Stockholm.

Nice to have

• Experience with Flask, Pandas, asynchronous Python, distributed systems, workflow orchestration, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with Azure, .NET/C#, Vue 3, or the Microsoft technology ecosystem.
• Experience with AI/ML production systems, RAG architectures, vector databases, LLM applications, or MCP.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, production operations, and Supply Chain planning or optimization.
• Previous mentoring experience or experience acting as a technical lead.
