Subject-Matter Expert — Mechatronics & Maintenance

Location: Remote; UK-based candidates are currently prioritized, but this is not a requirement.

What you will do

• Review course content for accuracy and alignment with real maintenance work.
• Provide hands-on expertise about day-to-day maintenance in automated warehouses and facilities.
• Explain practical diagnosis, repair, and maintenance practices that are not covered in textbooks.
• Support learners with credible answers and guidance after the program launches.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience maintaining automated equipment in warehouses, fulfillment centers, or similar facilities.
• Experience across mechanical, electrical, and basic automation or controls systems.
• Understanding of entry-level maintenance operator responsibilities and training needs.
• Ability to explain technical work clearly and patiently to beginners.
• Availability for approximately 5–10 hours per week on a contract basis, including ongoing support after launch.

Nice to have

• SACA certifications, micro-credentials, or comparable technical qualifications.
• Teaching or training experience in mechatronics or maintenance.
• Experience mentoring apprentices, new technicians, or maintenance operators.
