Location: Belfast, UK; office-based at least two or three days per week

What you will do

• Evaluate system performance, availability, and reliability under required loads.
• Develop automated tests, instrumentation, and reliability frameworks to identify bottlenecks and isolate root causes.
• Collaborate on system architecture, AI tooling integration, and reliability design.
• Support requirements gathering for AI enablement and system resilience initiatives.
• Write high-quality code and automation scripts following software engineering and site reliability standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve software workflows through AI-assisted developer tools and automated testing.

Requirements

• Two years of university study in Computer Science or an equivalent subject, progressing into the third year for a 12-month placement.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++, with familiarity with scripting and automation.
• Foundational understanding of software reliability, system monitoring, or AI/ML principles.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AI developer APIs, LLM frameworks, or automated code-generation tools.
• SQL knowledge.
• Experience with AWS or GCP, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Linux.
