SMT Process Engineer

Location: On-site in Istanbul/Tuzla, DESBAS, Türkiye

What you will do

• Manage the daily operation and organization of the SMT line, including Yamaha YSM20R pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens.
• Minimize downtime through rapid diagnosis and intervention during equipment malfunctions.
• Carry out line balancing and placement-speed optimization projects to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
• Plan and implement periodic and predictive machinery maintenance and report results to senior management.
• Analyze placement defects such as misalignment and tombstoning, develop root-cause solutions, and optimize AOI/SPI data.

Requirements

• University degree in Electrical-Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in SMT production processes.
• Advanced proficiency in installing, programming, and maintaining Yamaha YSM20R machines.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and soldering technologies.
• Experience using SMT programming and optimization software.
• English proficiency sufficient to follow technical literature and documentation.
