Transaction Monitoring Analyst (Crypto)

Location: Remote from the Philippines

BlueCube is hiring for transaction monitoring and financial crime operations covering fiat and cryptocurrency activity.

What you will do

• Investigate transaction monitoring alerts across fiat and crypto activity using customer history, transaction flows, counterparties, and risk indicators.
• Assess direct and indirect on-chain exposure, transaction hops, timing, values, and source-of-funds information in Chainalysis KYT and internal tools.
• Review KYC, EDD, source-of-funds, source-of-wealth, prior reviews, customer communications, OSINT, and adverse media.
• Approve or reject transactions within procedure limits and escalate unresolved suspicion, sanctions concerns, and mandatory cases to the FIU.
• Write structured investigation and escalation narratives in clear English and maintain accurate case records against quality and service-level standards.
• Participate in quality reviews, calibration, training, and the identification of recurring patterns, data gaps, and rule issues.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of AML or financial crime operations experience, including hands-on transaction monitoring investigations in fintech or regulated crypto businesses.
• Strong knowledge of money laundering and terrorist financing typologies, sanctions risk, and risk-based decision-making.
• Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to explain and defend investigative reasoning.
• Experience with transaction monitoring tools, case management systems, and spreadsheet-based data analysis.
• Availability for global-operation shifts, including scheduled nights and weekends; reliable internet access and a smartphone for authentication are required.
• Willingness to complete background and security checks.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Chainalysis KYT, Elliptic, TRM, or another blockchain analytics tool.
• Experience writing SAR/STR narratives or FIU referrals.
• CAMS certification or SQL skills.
