Lead Research Scientist (Machine Learning)

What you will do

• Lead research and innovation activities aligned with strategic objectives.
• Contribute to production-grade machine learning pipelines and scalable, maintainable software solutions.
• Develop and evaluate technology concepts across physics, optimization, mathematical modelling, machine learning, and software development.
• Design prototypes and conduct scientific analyses, evaluations, and technical investigations.
• Provide technical expertise across R&D, regulatory, quality, and product development activities.
• Promote software engineering best practices and mentor colleagues.

Requirements

• PhD in machine learning, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field, or an MSc with significant relevant industry and research experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant post-PhD research or technology development experience.
• Experience developing machine learning solutions and production-grade ML pipelines.
• Strong software development skills, preferably in Python, with sound engineering practices.
• Expertise in physics, optimization, mathematical modelling, or machine learning.
• Good communication skills in English and availability to work in Stockholm, Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning pipelines.
• Knowledge of Swedish.
