Cloud DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Fernitz bei Graz, Austria; flexible hybrid work schedule with home office options.

Salary: €3,954 gross per month minimum, with potential overpayment based on qualifications.

What you will do

• Design, provision, and maintain cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code.
• Operate and evolve multi-cluster, multi-environment Kubernetes platforms.
• Maintain GitOps-based delivery workflows and own CI/CD pipelines, container registries, and image promotion gates.
• Operate networking, gateways, certificates, DNS, secrets, policies, backups, and databases.
• Run monitoring, alerting, and observability while supporting incident response and continuous improvement.
• Enforce security practices, manage access controls, and document architecture and operational procedures.

Requirements

• HTL or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience, or development experience with motivation to move into DevOps.
• Production Kubernetes experience across multiple clusters and environments.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code, Git-based workflows, GitOps, and CI/CD experience.
• Comfort with Linux, containers, networking fundamentals, and debugging live systems using logs, metrics, traces, and cluster events.
• Fluent, business-professional English in verbal and written communication is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of industrial IoT hardware and software.
• CKA or CKS certification.
• German language skills.
