Senior Cyber Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote role based in Istanbul, Turkey

What you will do

• Design, implement, and continuously improve cybersecurity architecture, security controls, and network protection infrastructure.
• Handle L2/L3 incident response, investigate cyber attacks, identify IOCs and TTPs, and perform containment and remediation.
• Manage vulnerability assessment, remediation, system hardening, and security improvement activities across Linux and Windows systems.
• Support SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, VPNs, WAF, proxy, DDoS, and IDS/IPS security infrastructure.
• Contribute to security automation, information security processes, compliance activities, and security assessments.
• Prepare technical documentation, incident reports, and security-related assessments.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with network security, firewalls, VPNs, WAF, proxy management, Layer 7 DDoS protection, and IDS/IPS.
• Experience with IAM, PAM, SIEM, EDR/XDR, incident response, vulnerability management, system hardening, and security analysis on Windows and Linux.
• Knowledge of IOCs, TTPs, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and other security compliance requirements.
• Experience with security automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, APIs, or similar tools; good command of English.
