Corporate Counsel (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, and approving legal documents.
• Assess contractual and commercial risks and provide practical guidance on rights, obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead complex negotiations and act as a strategic liaison for clients and vendors.
• Translate complex contractual requirements into recommendations for senior leadership.
• Lead legal initiatives, manage priorities and resources, and serve as an escalation point for complex projects.
• Develop contract management technology, improve processes and templates, and contribute to strategic planning and budgeting.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in contract management, legal operations, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of supervisory experience, including setting direction, developing talent, prioritizing resources, and leading teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university; relevant professional experience may substitute for a degree.
• Strong contractual and commercial judgment with the ability to assess risk and interpret complex terms.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving Legal, business, leadership, and technical stakeholders.
• Clear communication and relationship-building skills with clients, vendors, attorneys, and senior leaders.

• Experience in payments, credit card processing, or financial services.
