Craft Plant Apprenticeship - Aerosystems

Location: Broughton, United Kingdom. The first 12 months are based at Coleg Cambria, Deeside, followed by practical training at the hirify.global Broughton site. Current legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom is required. The apprenticeship does not qualify for UK visa sponsorship.

Starting salary: £19,185 per year.

What you will do

• Complete a 36-month apprenticeship combining academic study with hands-on workplace training.
• Support the manufacture of wings for A320, A330, and A350 aircraft families.
• Install hydraulic lines, electrical wiring harnesses, fuel pipes, control cables, valves, sensors, actuators, and electronic units using engineering drawings.
• Perform hydraulic and fuel pressure tests as well as electrical continuity and resistance checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions while maintaining records and complying with aerospace safety standards.
• Rotate through different wing production areas and progress toward becoming a skilled aircraft fitter.

Requirements

• Minimum of five GCSEs, including Maths at grade C/4 or higher, with a GCSE certificate and no equivalency accepted.
• English Language at grade C/4 or higher, with a GCSE certificate and no equivalency accepted.
• Double Award Science at grade CC/44 or Single Award Physics at grade C/4 or higher.
• Two additional GCSEs at grade C/4 or higher; equivalent or higher qualifications may be considered, preferably in a practical or technical subject.
• Passion for learning, hands-on activities, teamwork, and problem-solving.
• Current legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom; BPSS security screening is required, with possible UK SC clearance or Export Control checks.

Nice to have

• Practical or technical experience from DIY, building and repair, model-making, technology projects, cooking, beauty work, or similar activities.
• Interest in aviation, aircraft, engineering, or manufacturing.
