QA & Source Inspection Specialist (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Evaluate First Article Inspections against AS9102 compliance requirements.
• Assess cosmetic defects and make acceptance or rejection decisions.
• Review hull, marine, web, and line inspection documentation and data.
• Analyze inspection information to identify quality trends.
• Apply DCMA and FAR Part 46 requirements to inspection scenarios.
• Provide technical feedback and prepare detailed reports documenting findings, decisions, and rationale.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in quality inspection, QA, or source inspection.
• Strong knowledge of AS9102 and government inspection requirements.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or marine surveying.
• Expertise in hull and marine survey processes.
• Experience with First Article, cosmetic defect, or production-line inspections.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus proficiency with documentation and remote collaboration tools.
