TL;DR
Medical Assistant (Clinical Care): Providing hands-on patient care and coordinating clinical procedures, diagnostic testing, scheduling, and follow-up in nephrology practices with an accent on vital signs, injections, specimen collection, anemia and iron management, and patient education. Focus on maintaining accurate EMR documentation, coordinating treatment plans, and supporting HIPAA-compliant clinic operations across Scottsdale offices.

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona 85251; onsite work in Scottsdale area offices

Salary: $18–$24.50 per hour, based on position and experience. Eligible full-time Medical Assistant candidates may receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus paid in three installments during the first year.

Arizona Kidney Disease & Hypertension Center (AKDHC) is a nationally recognized nephrology practice providing kidney care and hypertension services across Arizona.

What you will do

  • Provide hands-on patient care, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, administering injections, performing urine testing, and supporting anemia and iron management.
  • Coordinate clinical procedures and diagnostic testing, including specimen collection, blood pressure monitoring, scheduling, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EMR and communicate important patient updates to providers.
  • Manage patient scheduling, recalls, referrals, and care coordination to support treatment plans.
  • Support medical records management, inventory control, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration across multiple clinic locations.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant certification, such as CMA or RMA, or graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • 1–2 years of clinical Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with EMR systems and common clinical and office equipment.
  • Spanish and English fluency in speaking, reading, and writing is required for some roles.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a patient-first approach.
