Website Support Specialist (WordPress)

Location: Remote (Colombia); working hours are 8 AM to 5 PM EST.

Salary: 55,956,245–60,132,084 COP per year in Colombia; 7,015,243–7,538,769 CRC per year in Costa Rica; 874,066–939,295 DOP per year in the Dominican Republic.

What you will do

• Maintain WordPress hosting, CMS platforms, plugins, themes, and server-side components through updates, patching, monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.
• Administer users, roles, plugins, and themes while troubleshooting site errors, plugin conflicts, and broken functionality.
• Manage backups, restore and rollback procedures, staging environments, SSL/TLS certificates, hosting access controls, file permissions, and WAF security rules.
• Manage domain registrations, renewals, transfers, and DNS records including A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Support web forms, CRM, marketing, chat, lead-generation, analytics, and webhook/API integrations in coordination with internal teams and vendors.
• Configure GA4, Search Console, and tag management; produce traffic and performance reports, handle ticket requests, maintain documentation, and escalate complex issues.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in web support, web administration, or web operations.
• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience administering WordPress, including core, plugin, and theme updates, configuration, and security.
• Knowledge of DNS and domain management, SSL/TLS, backups, web security, managed hosting, cPanel or Plesk, basic Linux, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with Google Analytics 4 and Search Console, plus strong troubleshooting and technical communication skills.
• Remote work from Colombia with availability from 8 AM to 5 PM EST.

Nice to have

• Experience with CDN/WAF tools such as Cloudflare and security plugins such as Wordfence or Sucuri.
• Experience with Google AdSense.
