Chargeback Operations Intern (Fintech)

Location: Remote from Brazil; full-time availability Monday through Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm Central Time.

Salary: $800 USD monthly as an independent contractor.

What you will do

• Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and resolve cases within required timeframes.
• Work with fraud, customer disputes, and other relevant departments to determine case outcomes.
• Analyze transactions, account patterns, and data to identify fraud trends and operational risks.
• Collaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists, and engineers to improve loss prevention tools and processes.
• Maintain domain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies while meeting service-level agreements.
• Handle internal and external escalations and recommend process improvements to management.

Requirements

• Experience analyzing data and making decisions in fast-paced or ambiguous environments.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving, analytical, business judgment, and communication skills.
• Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools; comfortable using AI for productivity, research, and communication.
• Availability for full-time work during Central Time business hours.
