Co-Op, Software Development Engineer (Observability)

What you will do

• Design and develop monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting solutions for product observability.
• Partner with development and SRE teams to define observability requirements and identify reliability gaps.
• Build dashboards and actionable alerts for system health, performance, and reliability.
• Implement product-level performance and reliability monitoring.
• Develop automation for troubleshooting, validation, and release processes.
• Contribute to AI-native observability initiatives, including anomaly detection, troubleshooting, and operational insights.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with software development, automation, or observability-related projects.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, or performance testing concepts.
• Experience with Python and/or Java.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or Datadog.
• Experience with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with an interest in system reliability and developer experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with REST APIs, distributed systems, and microservices.
• Interest in AI/ML applications for software engineering, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
