Sr Operations Analyst - Capital Markets

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; work arrangement details, including the proportion of on-site and remote work, will be discussed during the interview.

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 per year, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Support Capital Markets operations involving foreign exchange transactions and related trade activities.
• Review trade confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, and cash movements across multiple foreign currency accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies, escalate transaction issues, and help ensure settlement obligations are met accurately and on time.
• Work with traders, banking officers, clients, and internal operational partners to resolve trade-related issues.
• Support system upgrades, user testing, process validation, regulatory changes, and operational readiness initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes while maintaining business continuity and operational controls.

Requirements

• Experience in banking, financial services, trade operations, foreign exchange, or Capital Markets operations.
• Experience with transaction processing, settlements, reconciliations, and operational controls.
• Strong technical and systems knowledge, including the ability to work across banking or financial systems.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, prioritization, judgment, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-risk, deadline-driven environment involving client and bank funds.
• Must be legally eligible to work at the specified United States location; this position does not offer visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Exposure to foreign currency activity and derivative products such as interest rate swaps.
• Experience supporting system upgrades, user testing, or process validation.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
