Senior Trade Desk Specialist (Financial Markets)

Location: Mostly on-site in Kansas City or Overland Park, Kansas, United States; four days in the office. The required schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm CST.

Base salary: $102,000-$132,000 per year, plus potential annual incentive compensation and long-term equity participation.

What you will do

• Provide production-level operational oversight for real-time, low-latency exchange trading platforms and multiple asset classes.
• Monitor production, disaster recovery, certification, and test environments; investigate incidents and provide live updates to customers, regulators, and business teams.
• Support exchange operations including order cancellations, trade reviews, price adjustments, clearing requests, routing changes, settlement verification, block trades, auctions, and rotations.
• Analyze technical and trading issues using SQL, UNIX shell tools, logs, APIs, and proprietary systems; perform root-cause and impact analysis.
• Coordinate with customers, banks, brokers, vendors, business stakeholders, and software engineers on new functionality, testing, deployments, and systemic issue resolution.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, mentor junior specialists, onboard clients, provision services, and support API certification testing.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
• At least 5 years of experience in a securities-related or technical support role, or a master's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with UNIX shell, SQL, and Agile development methodology.
• FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination and Series 57 licenses, or the ability to obtain them within the first 3 months.
• High school diploma, GED, trade, technical, or vocational school qualification; a relevant bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Regular office attendance is required, with a four-day in-office work model.
