Junior Data Engineer (Integration & AI)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite.
• Connect APIs, databases, applications, and enterprise systems using SAP technologies and Databricks.
• Build and maintain data pipelines based on ETL/ELT concepts.
• Apply AI-enabled capabilities to data quality checks, validation, preparation, profiling, and processing.
• Collaborate with AI experts and project teams to translate requirements into robust and scalable data solutions.
• Apply SAP integration and data engineering best practices on real-world projects.

Requirements

• Essential knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts.
• Foundational SQL knowledge and programming skills in Python or Java.
• Understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data preparation, validation, and profiling.
• Interest in cloud platforms and modern data technologies; familiarity with Databricks is beneficial.
• Interest in enterprise integration and willingness to develop expertise in SAP Integration Suite and SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to work in an international, collaborative environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML workflows or integrating AI-driven capabilities into applications and data solutions.
• Experience with Databricks or similar data platforms.
• Relevant experience from internships, student placements, or a junior role in integration, data engineering, consulting, or a related field.
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
