SMA Compliance Manager (Fixed Income)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; hybrid schedule with at least four full days each week in an hirify.global office

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 base per year, plus incentive pay

What you will do

• Lead fixed income trading compliance, including rule and reporting development in InvestorTool’s Perform OMS.
• Own and improve pre- and post-trade compliance workflows, monitoring processes, and risk controls.
• Support SMA team initiatives by identifying portfolio monitoring risks, process gaps, and scalability opportunities.
• Review client agreements, investment policy statements, state statutes, foreign registration rules, and platform manuals.
• Support product reviews and launches by implementing regulatory and monitoring requirements.
• Lead cross-functional projects involving compliance testing, controls, reporting, technology, data, and process automation.

Requirements

• Ten or more years of financial services industry experience, preferably including at least five years of direct compliance experience at an investment adviser.
• Experience with fixed income, trade desks, SMA structures, portfolio guidelines, and wealth management platforms.
• Knowledge of the Advisers Act of 1940, fiduciary standards, custodian requirements, and regulatory requirements affecting advisory services.
• Experience leading projects with broad stakeholder groups and communicating complex information clearly.
• Familiarity with trading and compliance systems, including InvestorTool’s Perform.
• Knowledge of coding or SQL syntax and report-building tools is advantageous; the role requires initiative in learning new systems and technologies.
