Data AI & Emerging Technology Risk Manager

What you will do

• Provide group-wide oversight of data, AI, and emerging technology risk and control frameworks.
• Partner with divisional and group teams to strengthen controls, reduce risk exposure, and support business growth.
• Develop risk frameworks for AI agents, quantum computing, robotics, citizen development, and low-code applications.
• Review data and AI policies, standards, and frameworks, assessing how effectively they are embedded.
• Monitor emerging technologies and regulatory developments, and assess their potential organisational impact.
• Produce research, insight papers, recommendations, risk reporting, measures, and metrics for senior decision-making.

Requirements

• Experience in data, AI, technology or operational risk, governance, or audit, ideally in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of data governance and management, including data architecture, ownership, stewardship, quality, and master data management.
• Understanding of AI, cloud platforms, quantum computing, robotics, and AI agents.
• Experience overseeing risk processes and assessing data, AI, technology, or privacy-related issues.
• Ability to analyse complex information, identify risks, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with an inclusive and collaborative approach.

Nice to have

• Relevant degree, equivalent industry experience, or professional qualifications such as CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CDMP, or DCAM.
