DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes/Azure)

Location: Hybrid, with an office in Ghent, Belgium and around three days per week working from the office

What you will do

• Maintain AKS and Kubernetes clusters, including node upgrades, version upgrades, and general maintenance.
• Monitor clusters and workloads, respond to alerts, and own incidents from investigation through prevention.
• Manage Helm charts, secrets, certificates, access controls, and infrastructure security.
• Support GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, GitOps delivery, and infrastructure automation.
• Automate repetitive operational work and contribute to the in-house Internal Developer Portal.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Linux and Bash, including terminal-based troubleshooting and scripting.
• Practical Kubernetes experience with node troubleshooting, RBAC, networking, and workload diagnosis.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, load balancers, reverse proxies, and web servers.
• Curiosity, calmness under pressure, and an ownership mindset focused on closing the loop after incidents.

Nice to have

• Azure or AKS, GitLab CI/CD, Helm, ArgoCD, GitOps, Crossplane, Terraform, or Kustomize.
• Argo Workflows or another workflow orchestrator.
• Prometheus, Grafana, Golang, or Google Cloud experience.
