Full-Stack SW Engineer – Positioning and Monitoring (Maritime Technology)

Location: Horten, Norway. Lysaker may also be considered, but attendance at the Horten site is required when needed. Hybrid working arrangements are available.

What you will do

• Develop and improve the HiPOS software platform for hydroacoustic positioning and communication systems.
• Build end-to-end product features across frontend and backend, with a primary focus on backend software.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, integrations, system interfaces, and data flows.
• Contribute to software architecture, system design, security, release activities, and technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and improve software performance, reliability, and usability.
• Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, testers, product management, UX, platform, data, and DevOps specialists, including product testing in laboratories and aboard research vessels.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in computer science, cybernetics, software engineering, or a related field.
• Application development experience with C++ and C#.
• Experience with real-time programming and real-time operating systems.
• Experience with DevOps tools, development pipelines, software testing principles, and version control.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Proactive, systematic, collaborative, and responsible approach to solving complex technical problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with software architecture, remote operation, networking, or cloud infrastructure.
• Relevant professional experience; recent graduates with a strong technical background are also considered.
