Senior Auditor - Property & Casualty Actuarial (Hybrid; m/f/x/d)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work with an expectation to be in the office at least three days per week

Base salary: €56,000–€94,000 per year for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Lead and deliver a portfolio of audits across the Property & Casualty (re)insurance value chain.
• Own audit engagements end-to-end and deliver timely, high-quality, risk-focused outcomes.
• Assess governance, controls, and risk management practices related to reserving, pricing, and other actuarial topics.
• Identify emerging risks and provide independent, objective recommendations.
• Engage with and challenge senior stakeholders to support sound risk management and decision-making.
• Coach team members and contribute to a strong, forward-looking risk culture.

Requirements

• Nearly qualified or fully qualified Property & Casualty actuary.
• At least 7 years of experience in the insurance and/or reinsurance industry.
• Strong experience with Property & Casualty reserving and/or pricing methodologies.
• Understanding of emerging risks and trends in the Property & Casualty (re)insurance industry.
• Understanding of IFRS 17 and/or US GAAP governance, processes, and controls.
• Availability to work from the Madrid office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in internal audit or risk management.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to (re)insurance companies.
• Experience with data analytics tools and techniques.
• Project management experience and experience leading small teams.
