Databricks Technical Practice Lead

What you will do

• Develop and run the Databricks technical practice, setting priorities and coordinating experts across divisions.
• Design and implement client solutions, dedicating approximately 50% of the role to hands-on engineering and delivery.
• Define technical direction, engineering standards, architectures, and technical review practices with the CTO and technical leaders.
• Build reusable code, reference architectures, accelerators, and shared Databricks knowledge.
• Mentor colleagues through training, knowledge sharing, and certification paths.
• Support presales, client workshops, partner initiatives, and external technical representation.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on expertise with Databricks across data engineering, advanced analytics, AI/ML, and application development.
• Strong experience delivering integrated solutions with Databricks and complementary data and AI technologies.
• Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Architect, Engineering Lead, or similar senior technical leader.
• Experience building or leading technical teams or communities and establishing effective ways of working.
• Strong communication skills for guiding engineers, advising clients, and collaborating with partners.
• Fluent English required; candidates based in Hungary are preferred, while international candidates are also welcome.

• Experience with conference talks, technical writing, or other external knowledge-sharing activities.
