Project Coordinator (NYOTA) Kenya Kakuma (Business Development Services): Coordinating practical entrepreneurship training and mentorship for refugee and host-community youth with an accent on Training of Trainers, trainer coaching, inclusive delivery, and business development. What you will do
- Coordinate delivery and quality assurance of the NYOTA Business Development Services curriculum across assigned locations.
- Facilitate practical, inclusive and participant-centred entrepreneurship sessions adapted to refugee and host-community contexts.
- Lead or support Training of Trainers, assess trainer readiness, observe delivery and provide structured coaching and feedback.
- Support participants with financial literacy, record keeping, marketing, business planning, digital tools, market access and enterprise development.
- Coordinate with mentors to reinforce learning, support referrals and provide post-training follow-up.
- Collect feedback, maintain training records, analyse results and contribute to monitoring, reporting and programme improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship, business management, business administration, economics, development studies, livelihoods or a related field.
- At least three years of experience implementing Business Development Services and/or entrepreneurship programmes, including business training.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
- Experience delivering Training of Trainers and coaching or supervising trainers.
- Experience supporting early-stage businesses in the micro and small enterprise sector.
- Experience working with youth and vulnerable populations, preferably in refugee or displacement-affected settings.
Nice to have
- Experience working in Kakuma/Kalobeyei or Dadaab.
- Knowledge of Arabic, French or other languages commonly used in Kenyan refugee settings.
- Understanding of gender-responsive and disability-inclusive programming.
