High School English Apprentice Teacher (English/Literature)

Location: Eldoret, Kenya; full-time, onsite teaching role at the Eldoret Girls campus.

What you will do

• Teach English and Literature to high school students.
• Plan lessons and collaborate with the Curriculum Development Manager to review and improve learning materials.
• Create an organized, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Set ambitious learning goals, provide feedback, track academic outcomes, and communicate student progress to families and stakeholders.
• Use interactive technology and provide appropriate accommodations and modifications for student success.
• Support behavior programs, clubs, societies, homeroom activities, and teacher-on-duty or boarding-duty responsibilities.

Requirements

• TSC certification and a relevant Education degree covering English and Literature.
• Teaching experience; the posting references 1–2 years in the requirements and 2+ years in the opening description.
• Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability, problem-solving ability, and comfort working in complex or changing situations.
