Principal Internal Controls Consultant (AI)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid workplace with two office days per week and remote work on other days

What you will do

• Own and drive the internal controls system implementation roadmap across key risk areas.
• Operate the annual internal controls cycle, including planning, coordination, effectiveness confirmation, and sign-off.
• Monitor control effectiveness through spot testing and qualitative reviews.
• Partner with Risk Partners and business functions to build control ownership and deliver enablement initiatives.
• Lead AI use cases for automated control documentation, execution monitoring, and AI-assisted testing.
• Ensure governance-quality deliverables and support senior and executive reporting on control effectiveness.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Senior experience in GRC, internal controls, or internal audit, gained in-house or at a Big Four firm.
• Experience implementing internal control systems or risk and control frameworks in complex international organizations.
• Knowledge of COSO, COBIT, or equivalent frameworks and standards.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders, manage change, and communicate clearly in English in writing and speaking.
• Ability to apply AI and digital tools in controls or assurance, with proficiency in MS Office; GRC tooling experience is an advantage.
