What you will do

• Support the Head of Research Security and Compliance in delivering regulatory compliance services for cutting-edge research.
• Interpret and translate national and international export controls and related regulations for different audiences.
• Work with colleagues across advanced materials, aerospace, biology, and nuclear research.
• Compile and submit applications through government portals.
• Liaise with relevant government departments as required.
• Brief senior managers and report to senior staff and committees.

Requirements

• Knowledge of an academic research environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Awareness of legislation and regulations related to research activities.
• Awareness of trade compliance and governance requirements.
• Experience briefing senior managers and reporting to senior staff or committees.
