Shipping & Receiving Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: San Diego, California; onsite five days a week

Salary: $89,210–$133,810 per year

What you will do

• Lead approximately 25 hourly employees across warehouse and shipping operations.
• Oversee material receipt, put-away, picking, and delivery to internal production and customer service organizations.
• Coordinate carrier and parcel pickups, weekday EOCP requests, and shipments of materials and finished goods.
• Remove operational obstacles and ensure the right part reaches the right location at the right time and quantity.
• Allocate resources, manage shifting priorities, and execute urgent business requirements.
• Support safety, quality, employee engagement, development, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing operations and day-to-day plant or facility operations.
• Knowledge of formal and informal training methods for safe and efficient production machinery operation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and drive process improvement.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with PSS, Baan, Windchill, or Trade Automation.
• Experience in warehousing and shipping operations.
• Familiarity with a union contract.
