Supervisor — Site Services (2 Year Fixed Term Contract or Secondment) (Mining)

Location: Waihi, New Zealand; residential role requiring candidates to live and work in Waihi. Hours are 6:30am to 4:00pm on a 9-day fortnight roster.

What you will do

• Supervise, plan, coordinate, and complete operational, landscaping, and property maintenance work.
• Lead direct reports and external contractors, including safety meetings, prioritisation, communication, and performance management.
• Coordinate landscaping, gardening, waste management, fire system services, building compliance inspections, and property maintenance.
• Manage residential properties, parks, walkways, project areas, equipment, vegetation control, tree work, rubbish removal, fertilising, and mulching.
• Develop service contracts, standard operating procedures, maintenance documentation, and contractor relationships.
• Report incidents and hazards while ensuring safe, environmentally responsible equipment operation and workforce development.

Requirements

• Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Full and current driver licence; ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
• At least five years of experience in project management or contractor management, preferably in mining, engineering, or construction.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with integrated purchasing or inventory systems, preferably PRONTO or a similar system.
• Practical experience using mobile plant, equipment, and hand tools, along with a safety-conscious and positive attitude.
