What you will do
- Lead health, safety and wellbeing business partnering across a portfolio of complex manufacturing operations, including a major dairy site and a Major Hazard Facility.
- Coach and develop H&S Business Partners, prioritising capability and resources according to risk, demand, maturity and business needs.
- Strengthen leader capability in critical risk management, control effectiveness and operational decision-making.
- Lead assurance and learning reviews, applying Human & Organisational Performance principles to understand work as performed and improve operational systems.
- Analyse risk, assurance, performance and dashboard information to provide clear priorities, practical recommendations and governance-ready insights.
- Drive consistent adoption of H&S standards, dashboards, self-service tools and digital workflows across supported sites.
Requirements
- Experience leading H&S enabling or business partnering practice across multiple sites, a district, portfolio or business unit.
- Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring and developing H&S Business Partners or equivalent professionals.
- Strong knowledge of critical risk management and critical control effectiveness.
- Experience integrating operational insights, assurance findings and dashboard data into decision-ready advice.
- Strong communication, influencing, relationship-building and professional judgement skills across frontline, contractor, leadership and senior stakeholder groups.
- Relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience in health and safety, risk management, engineering, human factors, operational leadership, occupational health, manufacturing or a related discipline.
Nice to have
- Knowledge or experience in high-hazard industries, process safety, major accident hazards, emergency management or Major Hazard Facility environments.
- Professional accreditation through NZISM, IOSH or an equivalent professional body, or active progress toward accreditation.
