Software Engineer (Semiconductor)

Salary: $127,656–$161,697 per year, plus bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Design and develop reliable, scalable software to control complex semiconductor fabrication and metrology equipment, with a focus on MOCVD tools.
• Drive technical ownership of product functionality, capabilities, and knowledge-base content.
• Manage multiple development priorities and product iterations with limited technical supervision.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews, code reviews, testing, integration, and complete software releases.
• Interface with component vendors and providers of third-party applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience.
• Strong programming and debugging skills in a large code base.
• Experience with software development methodology and the complete software life cycle for critical applications.
• Demonstrated experience with UI development, parallel processing, thread synchronization, complex control systems, process control, real-time control systems, or diagnostics.
• Strong understanding of computer configuration and complex tool networking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of object-oriented methodologies, C#, .NET, COM, Microsoft Visual Studio, Windows, WCF, and WPF.
• Electrical or controls engineering background.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry.
