Senior Product Manager, Cloud Networking

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations include Poughkeepsie, Lowell, Rochester, Tucson, Research Triangle Park, Armonk, Boston, Bellevue, Atlanta, San Jose, Dallas, Austin, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Salary: $13,000–$242,000 per year.

What you will do

• Drive the Confluent Cloud networking roadmap for services including Kafka, Flink, Connectors, and Data Governance.
• Develop private networking capabilities that improve reliability, scalability, security, cost efficiency, and usability.
• Define interfaces and data models for APIs, CLI tools, and Terraform, and launch new network options.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from product conception through delivery, launch, and ongoing iteration.
• Conduct user interviews, analyze data, define personas and user journeys, and establish measurable product targets.
• Coordinate engineering, design, sales, marketing, customers, and partners to deliver business outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of product management experience focused on cloud technologies.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise-grade products as a product manager, engineer, or solutions architect.
• Experience creating and maintaining product roadmaps and backlogs supported by user stories and customer research.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Must be able to work without current or future visa sponsorship in the United States.

Nice to have

• 6+ years of networking experience in a product management or technical role.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP private networking features such as PrivateLink, VPC Peering, and Transit Gateway.
• Experience with Envoy, service mesh, DNS, Kubernetes networking, network traffic metering, or billing.
• Networking domain expertise combined with product management experience; an MBA is a plus.
