Technical Solutions Specialist (Geotechnical Information Management)

Location: Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom. Work mode: Hybrid. The role includes approximately 10–20% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Deliver technical demonstrations and webinars aligned with customer challenges and suitable solutions.
• Guide product evaluations and trials for geotechnical data management solutions, primarily OpenGround.
• Lead software implementation, onboarding, coaching, and customer adoption activities.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver practical solutions.
• Build trusted customer relationships and communicate feedback, market insights, and product improvement opportunities internally.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, developers, and customers on testing, upgrades, releases, and go-to-market initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in a geoscience-related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Five or more years of experience in geotechnical engineering, mining, civil infrastructure, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the geotechnical data lifecycle and experience with geotechnical information management systems.
• Experience configuring and supporting complex data management solutions, including technical consulting, implementation, or customer-facing solution delivery.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and travel domestically and internationally approximately 10–20% of the time.
